The Jacksonport United Methodist Church is open to everyone and welcomes you to join us. In this simple rural environment, we hope that your personal spiritual experience will be enhanced. We have an open and uncomplicated worship service. Whether you have lived here a long time, moved here recently, or are enjoying the unique beauty of Door County as a visitor, know that you are welcome. We invite you to hear the words of a thoughtful sermon, to listen to the diverse musical genres, to pray in quiet contemplation, and to share in our warm country friendship. Our congregation began in 1893. We are a group of people who believe in Jesus Christ and his compassion for us and for all people. This means helping those who are sick and in need, loving your neighbor, caring for our community, and welcoming all.
Let us be kind to one another and walk softly on the earth, celebrating God’s goodness through all his creation and all his children.

The Jacksonport United Methodist Church combines historic simplicity with quaint country charm. Built in 1893, the simplistic architectural style reflects the Quaker background of one of the church founders and builders. The small entrance hall, the straight pews, the white altar rail, pulpit, and maple flooring all repeat this unassuming style. Music from the original Epworth pump organ still fills the church. Everything conveys the feeling of simplicity that has continued over the past 129 years.
